Thanks for this Review. Your video series on Pixhawk Multicopter Drone years back helped me build, torubleshoot and tune a Quad and a Hexacopter project. I would like to use the flight controller to rescue an RC Glider when it get lost out of sight, I would then flip a switch to return to the LZ and hopefully I can reacquire it to land.

would i need an adapter to connect this to a rc car? probably obvious but im about as novice as they get for rc fpv

When I try the initial flash using ExpressLRS Configurator on my computer the connection to the receiver' WiFi breaks my internet connection so the Configurator fails to flash because it can't download the firmware (the log shows an error at the beginning of the build phase). My workaround is to start the flash before I connect to the receiver WiFi, then when it starts to build I connect to the receiver WiFi and it works. This is only a problem with the initial flash because once you set the receiver's WiFi info you don't have to connect to the receiver wifi access point.

How do i connect gyro to my opentx ? As trainer input.

I've just inherited one of these from a retiring engineer. I gave him a puzzled look and told him I have no idea how to use this because I've only ever used digital. He gave me an earful about "back in my day" , "you kids" etc. Luckily for me, I have the internet now unlike him when he was younger. So, here I am watching your youtube video guide lol

If you want the throttle to start and stop with the throttle stick just use "Throttle" instead of "Throttle Start". It does the exact same thing without the logical switch. I personally prefer the "Throttle %" timer so the timer runs faster or slower depending on how aggressively I fly and also stops the timer entirely at low throttle.

So, we don't need to install a Bluetooth inside the tx16s?? I'm going to get the Radiomaster tx16s mkii v4 transparent one.

Instead of Goosky making a manual on how to setup for each radio, you'd have thunk they'd just saved a preset. Saying that each time I download something from their site, my browser does it's nut, saying the website is insecure. Don't know what they have to be insecure about, they make great products 🤔

I was thinking, has the manual changed as it doesn't have anything about the tx16s in it, but I see that's for the S2. The manual definitely isn't a Blade manual, but it's a heck of a lot better than the manual of the tx16s, but you can forgive them that, as most folk who use the tx16s, are going to be ppl who like to get stuck in, and the OS on the radio isn't created by Radiomaster.

I prefer to have 2 timers with one being for the total on time that starts and stops with the throttle cut switch and the second timer uses the Throttle% option. The TH% needs a little testing to get the actual time set but once that's done you'll get an accurate timer that accounts for slow and/or fast flights.

I managed to make timer1 count my current flight time when armed, and timer2 counts total time. My current model is at 14 hours

Hi Ben, I’m working on building a vtol q-plane with a 10 motor Deca frame but my cube sends a message that it’s unsupported and there’s a config error, even though it’s a full parameter list option. Do you know if it’s a possible frame without any changes to the os code? Thanks!

Hi Lee, have you ever flown the believer by makeflyeasy? If you have any experience with it please let me know as I love the looks of it andd long range but Im finding it hard to choose without your input!

I still have mine. Set up with a Matek F411-SE, a Walksnail 1S (OSD on softserial!) crossfire rx and a generic M8N GPS module. Still running the stock motor and original servos. Battery is generally a 3S 2600 made up of some old 18650 cells. I flew it last weekend... one of the vertical fins blew off in flight and was lost. Post-inspection revealed that the magnet holding the winglet to the fuse was missing... the glue must have dried out and let go. I never noticed it until I was packing up for the day. Lol

Under nav setting change to 800 cm/sec for 18 mph return to home

I been switching all my quads to inav, moving away from betafligh, whether im racing or exploring, stock pids, 800 cm for roll n pitch, and 600cm for yaw.

Magnetometer calibration, read what it says, 30 sec to point to the ground nose back left right top and bottom, and settle it flat pointing north. Save and reboot

Nice video. I built mine a year or so ago and agree that the instructions are lacking. The main thing is they omit throw surface volumes. I'd be very curious what values you're using. Another thing I hope you focus on in great detail in the next video is the correct INAV trimming/training procedure. A word of caution, the fuse halves are bolted together using 4 screws into ply that is glued onto the foam parts. The ply will pop off really easily because they use very little glue. Maybe that's a design feature to prevent greater damage, IDK. Regardless, a ruff landing will weaken it or, as in my case, pop it apart. Just a FYI.

A 4s 3300 lipo up to the nose Will balance without a GoPro . I use a Runcam thumb pro for the HD footage
